The Biggest Collection of 3D Printed Stirling Engines
Held last week at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand, was the Curious Minds 3D Printing Event.
Spanning over 3 days, Year 9 students were invited to use different 3D technologies, from 3D printers to 3D scanners to laser cutters. We were excited and proud to have been invited to take part in this event.
One of the biggest takeaways from this event was to see students 3D printing and assembling a stirling engine from scratch. At Curious Minds we saw the biggest collection of functioning 3D printed Stirling Engines, which is the brainchild of Senior Lecturer Dr Don Clucas. Students got to 3D print these engines with the UP BOX+ 3D printer and the result of their efforts is outstanding.
