The UP Mini Desktop 3D Printer is simple and affordable. Using additive manufacturing technology to lay down successive layers of ABS to build up a printed three-dimensional model. Your UP Mini 3D printer is assembled and ready to go out of the box and you’ll be printing models in 15 minutes. No need to spend weeks tinkering or fiddling to get average quality 3D prototypes with a cheap DIY 3D printing project, the UP Mini 3D Printer is ready to go out of the box.

Turn up the heat

Having a heated build platform mean less warping of your printed parts. As the UP Mini prints with the same tough plastic as Lego (ABS), it’s important during printing that the model sticks to the build platform. The UP Mini’s PCB heated platform has the fastest heating time on the market. This means you can get your 3D models printed faster.

Smart Support

No matter how complex your 3D model is, the visual printer software driver will work out where it needs to support the model during printing. Then the 3D Printer prints the support material in a lower density at the same time as printing the part. Once the model has been printed, you simply just break away the support material. Since it is all automatic, all you need to do is click ‘Print’.

Heat Retention Chamber

The biggest challenge for any 3D printer is controlling the material you are printing. It doesn’t matter what make of 3D Printer you are looking at, if you are printing with ABS (the same plastic as Lego), then you will find that your printed parts will warp. The Heat Retention Chamber traps all the heat generated by the heated build platform, helping to stabilize the temperature during the print.

A strong and durable steel structure and dual linear bearings on each axis, the UP Mini is built for making quality parts endlessly 24 hrs a day. The registration of each layer of plastic is absolutely spot-on the previous layer. So you get a consistent build quality every time.

Bigger and Better

Just because it’s a Mini 3D Printer, doesn’t mean you can’t make super large parts. By slicing your model into ¬†several components, then printing and gluing together, you can make some impressive models. For example, the Eiffel Tower in the picture¬†stands nearly a meter tall and is made of thirteen separate parts. Amazing engineering, amazing 3D printing.

The included Smart 3D Print software included with your UP Mini 3D Printer is very easy to use and is very smart. It automatically calculates the required support material for the most demanding 3D models. Just load any STL file (Just about every 3D CAD modelling software can export to STL).
