Introducing 3-Sweep

Creating 3D models from 2D pictures Until now there was no easy way of creating a 3D model from a 2D image. Thanks to 3-Sweep that is now possible. It has been developed by researchers at Tel Aviv University. This could pave the way for a whole new method for creating 3D models for printing and ultimately design.

The UP software for Windows V2.0 has a new option known as ‘surface’. This is useful when you want to print an object that only has 1 layer wall thickness. However it won’t work for all models and will often not create a base or a top of an object.
